Connexions Kent runs a number of Projects to support the young people we work with. These projects fit into two main categories and underpin our strategy to reduce the number of young people that are NEET or Not Known:
– NEET Preventative Projects – aimed at young people that are still of statutory school age and are at risk of dropping out of education. These projects are run in schools that generate a high proportion of NEETs and aim to re-engage the young people in mainstream education via their involvement in motivational structured activity programmes.
– NEET Re-engagement Projects – aimed at NEET young people needing support to re-engage in learning or employment. These bridging programmes help young people go from being unemployed and lacking self-esteem to gradually engaging in a part time motivational activity programme to eventually progressing on from this into a sustainable EET progression.
To refer a young person to the Activity Agreement please complete the attached referral form and pass it to your local Activity Agreement PA: AA Referral Form amended Feb 2010
To enable us to run many of these projects we seek funding from a range of other sources such as the LSC and DCSF, therefore projects tend to be targeted at the areas of greatest need.
