We offer a free, confidential information, advice and guidance to young people on career options, finding work, staying on in education, training/Apprenticeships, volunteering, managing money, benefits as well as issues affecting a young person’s heath and emotional well being.
Every young person can have access to a
Personal Adviser through their school, college or Connexions Access Point. They are there to listen, talk things through and offer impartial advice.
Connexions Kent helps all young people, no matter what their background, ethnic origin or abilities.
A Personal Adviser will visit your teenager’s school or college on a regular basis. He/she can book a one to one interview with the Personal Adviser or they can drop in to see them.
They also attend parent’s evenings where you can talk to them about the different options available to your teenager.
Any information your teenager shares with a Personal Adviser is dealt with in
confidence. We will not share this information with any other agencies unless we believe that what they have told us could put them or someone else at risk, or if it would help or be of benefit to your teenager, such as a job or training opportunity.
Any information we collect about young people is protected by the Data Protection Act 1998.
