What is Connexions?
Connexions Kent & Medway is a service providing free impartial and confidential advice, guidance, support and personal development services to all 13-19 year olds, and to those up to 25 who have learning difficulties and disabilities
What is a PA?
Our Personal Advisers (P.A.s) help thousands of young people each year from across Kent. From initial advice and information to more substantial one-to-one support, our Personal Advisers can support you on a number of issues including education, careers, health, leisure, money and benefits, development and much more.
What is a CAP?
A CAP is Connexions talk for Connexions Access Point. These are our offices. There are 11 office all across Kent plus a referral point at Skateside in Ashford. See the contact page for your local one.
How can I make an appointment?
You can make an appointment by either coming into the CAP, phoning us up or emailing you local CAP.

What benefits am I entitled to?
If you make an appointment to see a PA in your local CAP we can find out what type of benefits, if any, you are entitled to. We can also help you fill in your claim forms
Can you help me find a job?
Look at the websites of the professional or trade organisations in the industries that interest you to find out about job opportunities. Our PA's can help you with keeping your CV up to date and brushing up on your interview skills. We also have our Job's Live website and vacancy boards in all our CAP's
I've been made homeless and my friend says I can no longer stay with her. What can I do?
Everyone’s circumstances are different, but your local Connexions PA can help you find out if you can get emergency accommodation through the council and how to access welfare and housing benefits. If you decide to take the private rental route, you can ask about finding a landlord and guarantor, advance rent and deposits.

At Connexions we take young peoples views very seriously. We appreciate the feedback you can gives us so we can make Connexions the best service we can be. You can give feedback by using the feedback option on this website, filling in a feedback form in the CAP, or joining one of our 10 UChat local focus groups that run across the county.
