Where to go for help

If you have a learning difficulty and/or disability and you are thinking about whether you can get any extra financial help, you can talk to someone at school, or your Connexions Personal Adviser for advice.

There is also some very useful information on www.direct.gov.uk/disabledpeople and www.skill.org.uk

If you have needed extra help with your work at school, or have a Statement of Special Educational Needs (ask your teacher or parents/carers about this if you’re not sure), your Connexions Personal Adviser may write a Moving on Plan for you.

A Moving On Plan helps colleges and other training organisations to give you the right support when you start on a new course.

You can download our Moving Forward workbook here, which will help you to plan your next steps.
